new finds near Peshtera and Ivailovgrad

Fourteen golden coins from the time of Justinian and Justin has been found near the Saint Petka’s stronghold, near the town of Peshtera, that are attesting for the last days of the stronghold, during the sixth century by compounded Avarian-slavic-bulgarian onslaught.
That is just a few words from the Bojidar Dimitrov’s interview around the finds presentation.
” These three united nations has been into attack against the Byzantian Empire and has reached the Constantinople, but the assault hasn’t been successful” he add.
By Bojidar Dimitrov it is not unlikely that at the rage of the fight any officer has perceived that the stronghold is falling down and has threw into one bitus( lagre clay vessel, full with butter) a purse with fourteen brand new golden coins, that might be the value of soldiers’s salaries.
Bojidar Dimitrov present also finds from two wimen funerals at Rodestica, Ivailovgrad municipality. At one of them has been discovered five bronze and five glass made at the other bracelets, which are testifying that we can talk about proto-Bulgarian settlement.

Greetings,

Do you happen to have any information in regards to the Roman villa with the mosaics from Ivailovgrad? Apparently is has at least 260 square meters of mosaics. I would appreciate any information you have.

Thank you.
