At the eastern necropolis of the ancient Rome settlement Abritus near Razgrad archaeologists come upon stone Roman sarcophagus from the 2nd century. At the sarcophagus are detected skeletons from primary and secondary obsequies. The late ancient settlement Abritus is one of the best studied, developed and exposed ancient towns at Bulgaria.

Church from The Middle Age, reconstructed as Bathroom was found at archaeological studies of terrain, that is western direction from the ” Holy 40 martyrs ” near Veliko Turnovo. That was announced by the director of the studies Konstantin Totev, Director of the regional branch of the Archaeological institute of Bulgarian Academy for Science. According to Konstantin Totev’s words, This find is serious and could be appointed as unique at the examined for now hundreds of temples from the Middle Age epoch in Bulgaria. The foundation of this church has been found at 1992, but the archaeological examine is frozen because of the started at the same period massive excavations at the ” Holy 40 martyrs ” temple area.
The goal for the archaeologists at archaeological season 2007 is to be examined the necropolis southern of the church, where must be set up emergency entrance and elevator for disabled persons. The specialists have found after excavations at the unexplored church, which is situated at near by 80 meters southern to the renovated temple at the left coast of Yantra river.

Archaeologists from Shumen have found well preserved tomb from the Khan’s period in Bulgaria after excavations at the ” Chair Dere ” area, near the Shumen’s quarter ” Makak ” has told the director of the Historical Museum Dechko Lechev. That finds for now are showing that at the mound has been buried supreme dignitary from the period 7-9th century. At the grave are found head of horse, stirrups, rein, part of human skeleton and fully preserved earthen vessel. There is quite good chance this find to be found as Khan’s obsequies, which should be sensational , because this is going to be the first ever found Khan’s obsequies in Bulgaria,adds Dechko Lechev. He indicates that at Khan’s Bulgaria only the superior dignitaries and Khans have been buried along with their horses. The archaeological expedition, managed by director of the studies Rasho Rashev is working up on the sepulchre. At the area there are four more tombs, that are expecting excavations.

The main reason of the archaeological excavations at the Middle Age town Cherven is taking much more clean notion for the erect buildings and division into periods of the inhabitance at the saddle back between the two parts of the external town- the fortified and the unfortified, has told the director of the studies Stoyan Jordanov.

The territory of Kipra Village is inhabited from the early ancient time. Some of the first traces from human life here are dated to 3200 year before Christ.
Eastern direction from Kipra village has been placed settlement for this period and north eastern direction from the village is situated Thracian necropolis from the end of the Iron epoch. At 1941 at the foot of the eminence Djan bair treasure-hunters found uncovered some graves. They have been hollowed out at the rock like troughs and up overplayed with tile-stones. There have been placed clay vessels-urns, flush with the burned bones of the deceased humans. Unusual interest represent one of the urns. This vessel got one of the usual shapes for the Thracian tomb urns. Here is used but one rare theme of decoration - cross with broken shoulders, the so called swastika. The settlement from this period has been placed at southern direction, up on the tlted platform at the western area of the nowadays village. Later, during the first centuries after Christ, the Thracian settlement has been shifted at easter direction from the nowadays village. There, at the slope of the eminence during the first half of III century has been constructed sanctuary of the Thracian god - equestrain ( Heros ). Testimonial for this are that four consecrated reliefs, devoted to the Thracian god- equestrain.

At excavations of early Christiandom bishop basilica from 5-6 century at Sandanski, archaeologists has found water-supply outfit, build by granite tiles. According to the words by the regional museum director, Vladimir Petkov, it is interesting as building practice and such outfit has never been found in Bulgaria. The outfit was found indoor, at the bishop’s basilica, were the believers has been assembled before liturgy. That’s fountain, constructed by massive granite tiles, with four bronze spouts, tight with lead, explain the archaeologist Vladimir Petkov. The outfit is near by 6 meters tall and 40 centimeters deep. It is not certificated how this outfit has been provided with water. Probably it is proceeded with the force of interconnected vessels- equipment, well known ever since Effes, adds Petkov.
The scientists are believing that they will find new proofs for the early Christiandom object.
” We believe and we hope that one script will help us for the dating of the target and also for finding the ancient name of our town” says Petkov.
