(Flavius Mauricius Tiberius) and Heraclius (Flavius Heraclius) were exposed today at Izvorovo, Harmanli municipality.
This meeting is part of the
” Via diagonalis and the Bulgarian Stonehenge “ project. This project is being executed with the Greek municipality Trimono in common at the last year, having the financial support of Phare program. Part of the summary toward the project helped for the archaeological excavation works at the ancient stronghold Castra Rubra near the Izvorovo village, Harmanli municipality.

“St. St. Cyril and Methodius” also known as the Solun’s brothers are Methodius and Konstantin philosopher , creators and distributors of the first slavic alphabet the Glagolitic alphabet or just Glagolitsa. They are canonized as saints for the transliteration and popularization of the holy bible on Old Church Slavonic.
Methodius and Constantine philosopher were born in Sоlun (known as Thessaloniki), the Byzantian empire during the XIX century, at family of nine persons in the family of brass hat military superintendant Luv and his wife Maria. Methodius is the bigger one, he was born during the 810 year, Konstantin was born in 827 and almost at the end of his life he gets the name Cyril. Their father dies too early and they pass under the guardianship of their uncle Teoktisto, who’s a highly placed official at the Empire. During the year 843, Cyril arrives at Constantinople and starts his studies at the prestige University of the palace hall of Magnaura. For Methodius, Teoktisto has found another service as governor of administrative area, populated almost with Slavs from the bulgarian group.

Just year after the exploration of the Cybele’s temple near Balchik, the archaeologists Igor Lazarenko, Elina Mircheva and Radostina Encheva have found two statues during excavation works. They both represent Cybele and it is presumed that probably they have been possessed by Aphrodite or Dionysus, relief of Thracian horse rider, another relief of three nymphs, limestone plate with relief illustration of lion also.

The ferscoes at the Thracian tomb near Kazanlak are mural paintings by the Thracian Kodzimasis and the tomb has been ordered by the possessor Roygos, son of Seuthes III.
Such hot news were announced by associate professor Konstantin Boshnakov for the department of ancient history, Thracology and Middle ages history in Sofya University at the end of the last week, Friday, 20th May. The associated professor figures that on an fresco at the Thracian tomb near Kazanlak is illustrated the ruler Roygos and his father Seuthes III . An year ago, mister Boshnakov saw superscription straight at the cupola inside the tomb, made above the figures of the two posessors and at the field of thеse three chariots. The associated professor have doubts about this and after the confirmation of his request to get in and do new pictures, that corroborate the theory. At the following studies with infra red and ultraviolet shines,the scientists have found that the superscription “painted by Kodzimasis” and under it the following: ” Roygos, son of Seuthes III “.

Arbanasi monastery is situated at the north western part of the Arbanasy village. Probably the monastery has a Middle Ages provenance, because of the nearly situated ancient stronghold, Roman street also. Under the entrance at the eastern is erected after the liberty church tower. There is existing superscription for the renovate of the monastery during the 1836. At the first years of the yoke the monastery become desolate and the church has been used as parish church. The wonder-working sacred sacred image ” Vurgin Mery handed” with silver halo. The church is low-rise, single-hull, single apse building with two narthex and quite big chapel ‘Saint Trinity’ at the northern side. The church has been renovated during the 1680. At 1716 has been started building processes for residential, housing and farm buildings by the Troian’s monarch Danalil, Father Superior of the men’s monastery. The monastery has been demolished during the attacks of Arbanasi by the kurdjalii turks at 1798,

The situated in the south-eastern party of the present city Varna Roman thermae (balnearia, Balneae and balineae also) are the biggest public, ancient building ever found in Bulgaria, after Perperikon probably. These quite preserved walls are tracing out the imposing dimensions of this building, erected up on about 7000 square meters terrain. The fat walls has been built in specific technology, that take it in turns stone wall and five to six ranges of densely clay bricks. That inside stairs and the vault arch of the doors are shaped by enormous stone blocks, there are still rests at some places from terrific mosaic fragments. They are giving us quite good imagination for the rich decoration of the public building, along with the marble fragments, the capitals and the tiges.
