
Unique 19 sm. bronze dagger, decorated with flutings was found yesterday during the continuing excavation works near Dubene village, Karlovo municipality.
The studies with team leader Martin Hristov are concentrated into small stone structures, the bronze dagger was found at one of them, along with four ceramic vessels, a coup, few glasses and small pitcher-all rich decorated with ornaments.
These finds were dated to the end of early bronze epoch- III millenia BC
The absence of any bones is significant fact that remark for rituality that is new for the scientists and supports for investigating the culture of these tribes, that were inhabitants of Thrace during the bronze epoch.
During the last few archaeological seasons, near Dubene were found for about 21 000 golden elements of ornaments, golden swirls, golden poniard and some of the earliest found ever vitreous bead and silver box as well.
