Exceptionally valuable statue of Venus with height of 15 centimeters was found during the excavation works at the Roman castel Trimamium. This was announced by the director of the regional historical museum in Ruse, mister Nikolay Nenov.
That bronze figure was found at pit, dated to the Roman period, where were found 36 coins, dated to I-III century.
By the Archaeologist Vurbin Vurbanov, the statue has been produced at local atelier. The find might be preserved and restored, because it is thick in tarnish.
At the end of August, 2002 Archaeologists with team leader Krasimir Leshtakov discovered new terrain for excavation works at the area of Yabalkovo village, Dimitrovgrad municipality. The excavation team have found female ceramic figure of about 8000 years at fire demolished settlement from the early Neolith. At 2003 the excavation works at the object were restarted, there was found part of cooper slag, dated to the sixth millennium before Christ. bly has been preserved opium, amulet by very solid rock, that is typical for the eastern Rhodope mountain, cult side-tables and collection of stone tools and implements, used for production of items and instruments.
