Amulets of Byzantine coins are being manufactured during the 10th century at Preslav.
The esteemed discovery for the Bulgarian Middle age history was done by the archaeologists professor Kazimir Popkonstantinov who’s working at the monastery complex of the palace in the Middle age capital of Bulgaria.
The unique find was done near one of the walls at the monastery complex. Instead of pagan images, the old Bulgarian citizens have been into a search for deiform characters.
“Probably the image of the Byzantium emperor remains them the image of Jessus Christ that they know from the temples and that image of cross has given to the locals believe that if they wear such amulets, they might be protected by bad forces.” adds professor Kazimir Popkonstantinov.

The monastery cloister has been such one with high status at the Middle Age in Bulgaria. That is confirmed by the architecture and those many finds of seals, used for the correspondence of Tzar Peter , queen Maria and many other persons of high standing.
The monastery has been literary center also. Among the ruins professor Popkonstantinov has found gold-plated application, used for ornament of Middle Ages books.
