
Amulets of Byzantine coins are being manufactured during the 10th century at Preslav.
The esteemed discovery for the Bulgarian Middle age history was done by the archaeologists professor Kazimir Popkonstantinov who’s working at the monastery complex of the palace in the Middle age capital of Bulgaria.
The unique find was done near one of the walls at the monastery complex. Instead of pagan images, the old Bulgarian citizens have been into a search for deiform characters.

Three clay made idols were found just at the first day of the excavation works at Perperikon. These finds are some of the very first objects for the season 2008 at the ancient sanctuary between Haskovo and Kardjali. Those items were found during the cleaning process of the working areas.

Two of the clay figures have human shape, the third one has shape of bull. Those idols are used from the ancient citizens as gifts at the sanctuaries on Perperikon.
Professor Nikolay Ovcharov has told front of the Bulgarian National Radio that these figures confirms once again the relation between the ancient Thracian town and the Minoan culture.

Two seals of Tzar Peter and Georgi Sinkela are some of the latest finds of the archaeologic expedition that is continuing at the southern part of the cult old Bulgarian kingdom Veliki Preslav.
Among the rare finds are bunch of coins, there are three premises already explored at the ancient city.
” Those seals that were found are confirmation of the thesis that the monastery is the one of Georgi Sinkela, who has been secretary of the Patriarch and one of the most important men at the kingdom, after the tzar.

Thracian tomb with half-tubular vault arch was found by archaeologists at Zarevo municipality.
Director of the studies Daniela Agre announced that this is the first tumulus from this type that is found in Strandja mountain. “This is probably tomb of local possessor who ruled South-Eastern Thracia” adds Daniela Agre. The tumulus has been constructed by ductile limestone, unfortunately demolished by treasure-hunters. Part of the tomb is not affected, there were found amphoras, glue Thrace ceramic and walled grave of white limestone, was confirmed lately front of the BTA.
The Archaeologists supposes that this find is from about 370-360 BC. As Daniela Agre told earlier, this find is familiar to the Thrace tumulus at Sboryanovo, which is under the protection of UNESKO.

After examination and researches of all historic sources for the “saint Ivan Rilski” chearch at Veliko Turnovo, the archaeologists Hitko Vachev and professor Nikolay Ovcharov are going to succeed with their 20 years dream- to find where exact this building is. The start of this project has been given during the previous week at the Veliko Turnovo Asenov quarter. Director of the regional historic museum has told that the equip has been into a need to dispose of 200 cubic meters with garbages for being able to start the excavation . All the peoples at this quarter knows this place as dung-hill. Some of the early local citizens already knew that there has been situated church long time ago. The construction of this church was found just for about 30 meters distance to the “Saint Peter and Pavel” church. Until now, excepting the complex holy 40 martyrs” at the Asenov quarter there are almost zero number of excavations. By the words of the local archaeologists this territory is undeservedly disregarded.

Exceptionally valuable statue of Venus with height of 15 centimeters was found during the excavation works at the Roman castel Trimamium. This was announced by the director of the regional historical museum in Ruse, mister Nikolay Nenov.
That bronze figure was found at pit, dated to the Roman period, where were found 36 coins, dated to I-III century.
By the Archaeologist Vurbin Vurbanov, the statue has been produced at local atelier. The find might be preserved and restored, because it is thick in tarnish.
