Petko Kiryakov Kaloyanov as known as Captain Petko Voyvoda (6 December 1844–7 February 1900) is a 19th-century Bulgarian hajdut leader and revolutionary who dedicated his life to the liberation of Bulgaria and particularly the region of Thrace from the beasty Ottomans.

Western outskirts (Western Bulgarian Outlands) is political-geographic and historical term, validated after the end of World War 1,within which are indicated the territories cut off from the Bulgarian country from force of Treaty of Neuilly-sur-Seine, incorporated to the kingdom of Serbian, Croatian and Slovenian (Yugoslavian Kingdom). The bigger part of this territories (1545 sq.m.) is nowadays part of Serbia, the smaller one (1028 sq.m. Strumica)- at republic Macedonia.

Three unique items from different periods from the history of Perperikon was found at the end of this archaeological season at the Thrace sanctuary. They were presented by prof. Nikolai Ovcharov.
Broze sword from the Trojan War- 13-12 century before Christ is one of the biggest attractions. The sword is well preserved and has been made by premium quality bronze, adds the archaeologist Nikolai Ovcharov.
The second item is an idol and might deliver to us some more information about the magical rituals of the ancient citizens of Perperikon. Extremely interesting is the third item also. This original silver hasp of cloak is dated to the 6-5 century and has been possessed by aristocrat,says Nikolai Ovcharov. The two parts of it are forming human face, which is quite typical for the babrabian epoch.

The Bulgarian archaeologist Veselin Ignatov has found fully preserved Thracian chariot at meadow near the town of Nova Zagora. The last comparatively preserved chariots ever found in Bulgaria have been found at Building works the last century. At the most of these cases they’ve been damaged from the baggers or plunder by treasure hunters.
This find near Nova Zagora got large dating- the end of first century- the beginning of third century of the new era and embrace 3 horses - 2 in harness and one break in, two-wheeled carriage with soft hanging, endings from heavy bronze with eagle head’s shape and collapsible iron chair. The scientific team is presuming that at the continuous excavations will find many more objects. That explored till now artifacts are changing the imaginations for the order and peculiarity of the such kind Thracian funerals.
