two ceramic animal heads with important significance, one of which is unique,w ere found at the last finds at Perperikon,was announced by professor Nikolai Ovcharov. One of them is Dragon with open mouth and crest, the other one is broken cobra head, represented at attacking posture and open mouth. The whole is hold with ornaments. That finds are dated to III - I century before Christ and it was mentioned about the so called Zepina culture, archaeological term, tied to stronghold at the western Rhodopes, where for first time there was found ceramic from this type, adds professor Ovcharov.

Unique golden treasures,ceramic and bronze vessels were found these days from the Daniela Agre’s team near the town of Elhovo. The archaeologists fall in upon the objects at Raikova’s mound near the Stoino village,where they have found precise made stone sarcophagus. He might be from the end of I,the beginning of II a.c. and into him has been layed to rest illustrious young thracian girl,cremated out of the Tomb’s bond. Her child has been inhumed also. Near the bones were found fully unspoiled ceramic and glass vessels used for embalmment,as well as some bronze vessels. There were discovered some wood objects also- make-up box like.

Ceramic vessel in a horse head shape was found by the ” ТЕМП ” expedition at one of the fourth thracian tombs near Kaloyanovo village. The item is verry precious made,there is application of horse’s ammunition,part of which is labris. It is well known that the labris is symbol of king’s power and authorityfor the thracians. “Unique item,important for the science” - explain doctor Georgi Kitov,project leader of the expedicy. He continued that the labris confurms that the item has been owned by thracian possesor. At the tomb were placed only the bones under the pelvis - the chest,the hands and the cranium are missing! It shows that the inhumed has been follower of Orpheus,doctor Kitov continues. At the same way is disjointed the bronze vessel - the grip is separated at placed at one of teh ceramic vessels,which is quite at the Orphic tradition.The king’s obsequies was discovered at the Taneva knoll. This week the expedition may continue with that four mounds.
