Golden Mask dating to the IV century before Christ has found the Georgi Kitov’s team near Topolchane,Sliven municipality. It is suggested that the item has been possesed by Thracian king. The mask is flat, with big nose and closed eyes. The outskirts is outlined with incise and protuberant ornaments. That mask with another objects were found at rich thracian tomb. That last finds confurms the suggestion that the volley of the Thracian kings from Kazanluk continues to the east direction, till the Sliven municipality by doctor Kitov’s theory.
Massive golden ring that was found at the same tomb is one of the most discussed topic. Upon the ring is ilustrated man with beard, probably the possessor, who has been buried there. The find has superscription on greek language, that should mean СНYCA ТНРНТОС, and as it might be seal, must be detached conversely. Does that superscription means ” The Redeemer of Asia ” or something else, we should know soon!
